The Emotional Intelligence Research Institute (EIRI) was created and developed by Darwin Nelson, Ph.D. and Gary Low, Ph.D. in 2002 at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. In 2004, the first annual EI conference was convened to share and disseminate research on personal and emotional intelligence skills, and to highlight best practice applications in education and organizational settings. The tradition continues in 2018 with the Fifteenth Annual Institute for Emotional Intelligence with involvement from professionals in Education, the Department of Defense, Human Resources, Counseling, Social Work, and more.
Since 2008 efforts to grow and develop the annual EI institutes have been sustained through the Emotional Intelligence Training and Research Institute (EITRI), a professional association and online forum. EITRI members in good standing may access a discount code to enter during registration for a 25% discount for the 15Th Annual EI Institute and all related events. To access the EITRI discount code, join, renew, or learn more about EITRI, please visit http://www.eitri.org.

Join us for a fascinating day of exploration through Mindsight and the interpersonal neurobiology (IPNB) integration with emotional intelligence. Mindsight is the developed ability to monitor energy and information flow in the body and in relationships so that we can modify that flow to achieve good outcomes. An important part of this workshop will focus on developing mindful awareness in the moment without grasping onto judgements. Mindful awareness is a pillar skill of mindsight.
